Gamepass killed game sales on xbox. Even if some people buy their xbox games it not enough. We had sales data from Capcom hack we saw this was true. Switch version sold about 20 times better then xbox version on many of their games.

This comes to PS5 it’s a day 1 purchase for me

Don’t blame devs for XBox shortcomings. Not their fault Phil decided 2 SCUs were gonna be the thing this Gen. Even then XBox decided to push the weaker of the 2 SCUs with the Series S. Devs don’t want to make their games worse just so they can sell a few extra copies to XBox players who will even buy them.

The issue may not be developers and studios skipping xbox. The issue may be with xbox and game pass. Xbox are obsessed with game pass they want everything on game pass. That may be good for Microsoft/Xbox but it may not be for the developers. They aren't going to make much money from it being on xbox if it has to go on to gamepass. It may be easier to not release it on.that platform than try and release it not on game pass if they are going to try and get pushed to do so. There have been stories before that xbox insist games have to be on both Series S and X. Why? If a developer doesn't want to put their game on Series S that is up to them. It's interesting this collection is on PS4 not PS5. Of course they may release it on the PS5 later. But why bother if the PS4 version plays on the PS5 anyway and an upgrade at a later date is possible. The fact that it isn't coming out on the PS5 suggests that Sony aren't pushing then and pressing them to do so. If l were a developer l would rather go to a company that is laid back and says do what you want than one that is saying you must do this, we want you to do that. It's also interesting to note that Capcom do release Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and the big price point games on xbox for sale. If Capcom are expecting low sales of a low price point game whether because it will be on game pass or not it makes business sense to skip it. If and l have no evidence to say this true, bit if xbox is insisting on games going on game pass and "strongly encourage" developers to do it. The developers need to speak up. We want to put games on xbox but aren't because..... Perhaps the reaction of gamers will force Microsoft to back down on that.

Gamepass is a good value but it can hurt developers at the same time. For one low monthly fee you get full access to a library of games. 100% the game you don't have to buy it. Dont like the game you don't have to buy it. Gamepass may offer discounts for games that make it there but the reasons I stated above says otherwise. Xbox should offer a return policy like Steam does.

A truckload of games have skipped Xbox and will continue to do so. So far, the PS5 has around 240+ titles that have skipped Xbox this generation. Most Xbox games are coming to PS5 anyway, so there is no real point in buying an Xbox any longer. 🤷‍♂
